A territory of Setu
One set of books for the whole shop
The commerce territory of Setu runs your storefront and your back office from the same records, so what a customer buys, what leaves the shelf and what you file for GST always agree.
Follow one order through the books
Change the order and place it. The invoice, the stock and the order history are worked out the way Setu does it. The shop is an example seller in Karnataka; the rates and numbers are examples, not tax advice.

What it replaces
| The old way | With Setu commerce |
|---|---|
| A website builder that knows nothing about your stock | A storefront on your own domainCollections, search, wishlists, customer accounts and checkout, reading live stock. Or keep your own front end and run Setu behind it. |
| Counting the shelf by hand at month end | Stock that changes only through recorded actionsLocations, transfers, holds and damage, by SKU or piece by piece, so the count on screen is the count on the shelf. |
| Orders in chat threads and a notebook | Every order in one placeFulfilment, packing slips, cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds, each with its history on the order. |
| Calling the courier, chasing payment screenshots | Payments and shipping built inOnline payments through Razorpay, cash on delivery, store credit and gift cards. Shipping rates, pickups and tracking through Shiprocket. |
| The accountant rebuilding GST from bills every month | GST from the same recordsTax on every line, invoices numbered in sequence, e-invoices and e-way bills, and return data from your sales and purchase bills. |
| One shared password for the whole shop | Staff with their own accessRoles and permissions per person, a record of who changed what, and email and SMS updates to customers. |
Inside the commerce territory
Storefront
Your shop at your own address, or Setu behind a front end you already have.
- Collections, categories and search over live stock
- Customer accounts with email sign-in links, wishlists and saved addresses
- Cart and checkout with contact, address, shipping and payment steps
- Reviews, newsletter sign-up and appointment booking with your staff
- A public verification page for every serialised piece
Every piece can prove where it came from
For handmade and high-value goods, Setu tracks each item on its own. Intake gives it a serial and prints a QR label. Scanning the label opens a public page with the maker and how it was made, and a certificate of authenticity you can print.
The public page shows only what you choose to show. Costs, lot details and internal notes stay in the admin.

Questions shops ask
Can I keep my own website?
Yes. Setu can run your storefront on your own domain, or sit behind a front end you already have and serve its catalogue, cart and checkout.
Does it work for one-of-a-kind goods?
Yes. Each piece can be tracked on its own, with its own serial, photos, maker and certificate, alongside ordinary stock counted by SKU.
Which payment and courier services does it use?
Online payments go through Razorpay, and shipping through Shiprocket. Cash on delivery, store credit and gift cards are built in.
Does Setu file my GST returns?
Setu prepares invoices, e-invoices, e-way bills and the sales and purchase data your returns need. Filing stays with you or your accountant.
